Daily modes

The Daily Gauntlet lives inside the flagship 84-0 hockey game. Everyone in the world gets the same seeded spins that day — same teams, same decades — so the daily leaderboard is a pure skill comparison. Attempts are limited, results are server-verified, and the board tracks wins, losses, overtime losses and goal difference. Guess the Player also resets daily with a streak counter.

Accounts, points and prizes

You can play everything signed out. Sign in (free) and every finished season, saved build and daily solve pays 84-0 points onto the leaderboards — see the Rankings page for the live boards and the Contest Rules for prize details when prize periods are running.

One promise about the sims

Every season sim on this site is honest: stronger squads win more, but nobody is guaranteed anything — the 1976-77 Canadiens themselves would fail to repeat their record about half the time in our engine. The difficulty numbers quoted in these guides come from the same Monte Carlo simulations we use to tune the games (hundreds of thousands of simulated seasons), not from marketing.
