Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and 84-0 ("84-0", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of 84-0.com and the games on it (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. About the Service

84-0 is a collection of free fantasy sports games. In each game you draft an all-time roster and an algorithm simulates a season or run, producing a record you can compare on leaderboards and share. The Service is provided for entertainment purposes only.

Simulation results are fictional and generated by an algorithm. They do not represent, predict, or reflect the actual or likely performance of any real player, team, or game, and we make no representations about the accuracy or methodology of the simulation or of any historical statistics shown.

The Service does not involve gambling, wagering, betting, or real-money play of any kind. No purchase is necessary, records and leaderboard placements have no monetary value, and nothing in the Service can be exchanged for money. The Service must not be used as a basis for any wagering decision.

84-0 is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, FIFA, the UFC, the NCAA, any team, players' association, or any player. Player and team names and historical statistics are used for informational and entertainment purposes only. All team and league trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Your account

Some features, such as profiles and leaderboards, may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

6. Acceptable use and fair play

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or other unauthorized automation to access the Service or manipulate records or leaderboards.
• Exploit bugs or unintended behavior of the simulation, or otherwise cheat. If you find a bug, please report it.
• Create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage, or impersonate anyone.
• Use offensive, infringing, or misleading usernames or profile content.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code or simulation logic, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may remove content, reset records, and suspend or terminate access for violations, with or without notice.

7. User content and sharing

You keep ownership of content you submit, such as usernames, profile details, and feedback ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use it to operate and promote the Service — including showing your username and records on public leaderboards. Feedback may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you. You represent that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or law. When you share a roster or record to another platform, that platform's own terms apply.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, graphics, logos, simulation engine, game mechanics, and software, is owned by 84-0 or its licensors and protected by law. "84-0" and related logos are trademarks of 84-0. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

9. Changes to the Service

The Service is free, and we may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue it or any feature at any time, with or without notice. This includes changes to the simulation, player pools, scoring, and leaderboards, and the resetting of records or seasons.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for any violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data, including historical statistics or simulation results, will be accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 84-0 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 84-0 from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of 84-0 is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the competent courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory consumer protections available where you live.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will post the updated Terms here and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. General

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and 84-0 regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
