About the NFL Running Back Builder
What would happen if you could combine the best traits of NFL running backs into one player? That's the idea behind the NFL Running Back Builder on 84-0. You'll face a series of random players and choose one attribute from each, gradually putting together your own custom running back. Once the build is complete, you can simulate a full 17-game season and see how your creation performs.
The challenge is that you never know who will appear next. You might get Derrick Henry's power early, find an elite runner later, or have to decide whether a good option is worth keeping when a better one could appear on the next spin.
How does the NFL Running Back Builder work?
Each round gives you a randomly selected NFL running back and a set of attributes to choose from. You can keep exactly one stat from each player before moving on to the next selection.
You'll have ten spins to complete your running back, along with three passes that let you reject a selection when the available options aren't right for your build. Using those passes at the right time can make a big difference, especially when you're trying to improve a weaker part of your player.
What running back attributes can you choose?
The available traits cover different parts of playing the position, including power, vision, burst, balance and other skills that can affect how your running back performs.
Every attribute comes from a real NFL player, so your final creation can combine completely different styles. You might pair the power of a big back with the vision and burst of an elusive runner, creating a player who can attack defenses in multiple ways.
What happens after you finish your running back?
Once all ten attributes have been selected, your custom running back is ready for the season simulation. You can run a full 17-game NFL season and see how many yards, touchdowns and receptions your creation produces.
The goal isn't simply to create a player with a high overall rating. You want a combination of traits that can translate into an outstanding statistical season.
Can I compare my running back with other players?
Yes. Completed builds can be saved to the global leaderboard, where you can compare your results with other 84-0 players.
The leaderboard gives you another reason to keep experimenting. You can try the Current Era pool, switch to the All-Time pool, change your strategy and chase a better result.
You can also generate a shareable player card and show your creation to friends.
Can you break the NFL rushing record?
That's one of the biggest challenges. Your running back gets a full 17-game season to chase historic numbers, including Eric Dickerson's famous 2,105 rushing yards.
There isn't a guaranteed formula for breaking the record because every run starts with different players and different choices. A great build requires a little strategy, some patience with your passes and a bit of luck. Build the best running back you can and see how close you can get to an all-time NFL season.
