About the NBA Player Builder
What would happen if you could take the best skills from NBA legends and put them into one player? That's the idea behind the NBA GOAT Builder. You'll spin for real NBA players, choose one attribute from each, and slowly build your own custom superstar. Once your player is complete, you can put him through an 82-game season and see how he stacks up statistically.
The fun part is that you don't always get the player or attribute you want. Sometimes you get an incredible option right away. Other times, you have to decide whether to use a pass and hope the next spin is better.
How does the NBA Player Builder work?
The game gives you a series of randomly selected NBA players. Each player has different strengths, and you can keep exactly one attribute from each selection. Your job is to combine those individual strengths into one complete player.
Every choice matters. Taking an elite shooting attribute might mean giving up a better defensive option later, so you'll need to think about what your final build is missing before locking in each selection.
How do you build your own NBA GOAT?
Start by looking at the attributes available from each player and pick the one that adds the most value to your build. You also have a limited number of passes, which let you reject a selection when none of the available options fit your strategy.
There isn't one perfect way to build your player. You might prioritize shooting and scoring, create a lockdown defender, or try to build someone who can do everything at an elite level.
Which NBA attributes can you choose?
Your player is made up of different basketball skills, with attributes covering areas such as shooting, finishing, handles, playmaking, defense, athleticism and basketball IQ.
The interesting part is where those attributes come from. Every skill is tied to a real NBA player, so your final build could combine the shooting of one superstar with the defense, athleticism or playmaking of another.
Can you simulate your NBA player's season?
Yes. Once you've finished your player, you can simulate a full 82-game NBA season and see how your creation performs.
The simulation gives your build a chance to prove itself over an entire season. A player who looks incredible on paper still needs to produce, and that's where the fun really starts.
How does the NBA GOAT leaderboard work?
Finished a great build? Your player can be saved to the global leaderboard, where you can compare your results with other players.
The leaderboard gives you another reason to keep playing. You can try different strategies, chase a better build, or see if you can put together a season that ranks among the best.
You can also generate a shareable card for your player and send your creation to friends.
Can you build the perfect NBA player?
That's the real challenge.
There isn't a guaranteed formula for creating the perfect NBA player because every run gives you different players and different choices. One run might give you an incredible scorer, while another could produce a ridiculous two-way player.
